What is the Green House Effect?

Geeksfor Geeks

The Green House Effect is a natural process that traps heat from the sun to maintain Earth’s temperature suitable for humans, animals, plants, etc. on earth or to support life on earth. The Green House Effect is responsible for maintaining a balanced temperature on earth, but humans’ activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, industrializations, agriculture, deforestation, urbanization, etc. have increased these Green Houses Gases in the atmosphere where they are preventing the heat on earth from escaping into space, thus, increasing temperature on earth and negatively impacting our lives through droughts, sea level rise, increased precipitations, melting of ice sheets in the artic, strong winds, hurricanes, and tornadoes.
